Clairemont High School

I have been lucky to land a long-term sub position at Clairemont High School in San Diego Unified School District. This job will last from February to the end of the school year.

I feel so blessed to be working with the students for whom I really have a passion. The Literary Advancement Elective I am teaching is a support class for students who are significantly below grade-level based on their CST scores. This program, SLIC, or Strategies for Literacy Independence across the Curriculum, is part of a federal grant.

I love the school, the curriculum and most of all the students!

I had fantastic student teaching experiences. I spent eight weeks at Foster Elementary in the first grade and eight weeks at Dana Middle School doing fifth-grade math and social studies and one period of fifth and sixth-grade art.
